A Middle River woman was released on bail after being charged with attempted murder for allegedly hitting her husband with their car in Edgewood on July 24, according to charging documents.
Maryland State Police troopers responded to Magnolia and Hanson roads at 5:03 p.m. on July 24 for a report of a car collision with a pedestrian, according to the statement of charges.
Kristen Danielle Hunt, 20, of the 700 block of West Kingsway Road in Middle River, told troopers she and her husband were fighting and he got out of the car. She then felt something on her leg, swerved and accidentally hit him, according to the statement of charges.
The injured pedestrian, identified as her husband in charging documents, was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the statement.
The woman later admitted to fighting with her husband all day and said she was driving north on Route 152 when she accidentally went off the roadway and hit her husband, according to the statement of charges.
She denied intentionally trying to harm or kill him, according to the statement of charges.
The woman's car was found resting against a fire hydrant with "extensive front end damage" after allegedly striking the pedestrian, a mailbox and the hydrant, according to the statement.
Hunt was charged with attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and two counts of malicious destruction of property.
She posted $20,000 bond on Thursday and was released from jail, according to online Maryland court records.
