Weddings, races, trip to NYC for Perryville residents

Jose and Rosa Sanchez recently returned from a visit to their homeland for the wedding of their niece, Maria Sanchez. Maria and her new husband, Julio Santana, were married Sept. 20.

Sam and Donna Storey enjoyed the weekend at the races is Dover, Del. They were super excited when their favorite driver, Jeff Gordon, won the race.

I enjoyed a delightful weekend with my sisters, Cindi Labant and Kimi Jenkins, as we traveled to New York City to see the Broadway Show "The Motown – the Musical Show." It was terrific. The Motown Show is the story of Berry Gordy. We were singing and swaying in our seats to the beat of the Motown music of Diana Ross and the Supremes, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, Marvin Gaye, Jackie Wilson, The Four Tops, Martha Reeves and the Vendellas, Jr. Walker, Gladys Knight and the Pips, the Marvelettes, the Commodores, The Jackson Five, The Temptations, Mary Wells, Stevie Wonder and Rick James.

This week birthday wishes go out to: Marianne Pryer on her Oct. 2 birthday; Madge Jones, Oct. 7; Cathy Depew, Oct. 8; and Jean Chance, Oct. 9.
