Two young Aberdeen men were arrested shortly after a daytime armed robbery was reported at the city's MARC station Monday.
Police responded at about 2:18 p.m. to the report of a robbery in the train station's pedestrian tunnel, off of East Bel Air Avenue, according to charging documents.
The victim told police that one man followed him from the Exxon gas station store to the tunnel. The second robber, wearing a black ski mask, then approached the victim, allegedly displayed a handgun and demanded the victim's wallet.
After the gunman found the wallet had no money, he handed it back to the victim and allegedly rifled through the victim's pockets but, again, found no money, according to the statement.
The victim and suspect then walked in opposite directions, according to the statement.
One man matching the description was seen sitting by the steps that cross over the tracks, according to the statement.
That suspect was identified as Deon Moorehead, 20, who allegedly confessed to acting as a lookout in the robbery, according to the statement. He implicated his brother, Matthew Moorehead, 17, of the 300 block of Mayberry Drive, as the gunman.
After a gun was found at the Mooreheads' Perrywood Gardens residence, Matthew Moorehead allegedly confessed to his role as the gunman.
Matthew Moorehead was charged with concealing a dangerous weapon, attempted robbery and armed robbery. He was being held Tuesday at the Harford County Detention Center on $100,000 bail.
No information was available in online court records Tuesday afternoon about Deon Moorehead.
