Aberdeen boy, 17, accused of stabbing another juvenile

A 17-year-old boy is being charged as an adult after allegedly stabbing another juvenile in Aberdeen Monday night, the city's police department said.

Devon Antonio Stansbury, 17, is accused in the stabbing, which was reported at about 11 p.m. in the 800 block of Edmund Street, according to a press release.

Officers found a juvenile suffering from stab wounds from an altercation. The victim was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and was in stable condition as of Tuesday, according to the release.

Stansbury is being charged as an adult and was taken to the Harford County Detention Center.

Stansbury, whose address is listed in online court records as the 300 block of Oxford Avenue, is charged with first- and second-degree assault; he was taken to Harford County Detention Center, where he was being held on $25,000 bail.

No further details were available from Aberdeen Police.
