Two men told Aberdeen police they were robbed early Thursday morning while they walked along a footpath.
Aberdeen officers were called shortly before 4 a.m. to the area of Baltimore and Schmechel streets for a reported robbery.
One man was at the dead end of Schmechel Street and a second man was on a footpath to the railroad tracks near Market and Schmechel streets.
Both men told police they were walking along the path when they were approached by four black men who assaulted them and took an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing toward the railroad tracks, according to a press release from the police department.
No weapons were involved.
Both men were taken to Harford Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
No further description of the suspects is available.
