Aberdeen police seek bank robbery suspect

Aberdeen Police said they are searching for the man who robbed the M&T Bank branch on West Bel Air Avenue late Saturday morning.

Officers arrived at the branch shortly before 11:30 a.m., according to a police department news release.

They received information about the robber, who is described as African-American, about 5 feet, 6-inches tall and weighing 140 to 150 pounds. He was wearing a black Baltimore Orioles baseball cap with a white "O" on the front, along with a black hooded sweatshirt with a zipper, gray sweat pants and light-colored sneakers.

Anyone with information about the robber is asked to call Aberdeen Police Detective Thaddeus Tomlinson at 410-272-2121, ext. 135, or at 410-808-1863. Information can also be sent via email to ttomlinson@aberdeen-md.org.

Officer Jason Neidig, a police spokesperson, said tips can be left anonymously. Aberdeen Police have not released any other information about the robbery.
