Aberdeen man accidentally shot

A 48-year-old Aberdeen man accidentally shot himself shortly after 10 p.m. Friday, Aberdeen Police reported.

Police received a call at 10:18 p.m. of a shooting in the 300 block of Rogers Street. When they arrived, police said they found a man with a wound in his leg. They secured the scene for an investigation and administered first aid until paramedics arrived. Police said investigators determined the man had been shot when the gun accidentally discharged.

The man was transported by ambulance to Johns Hopkins Bayview, police said. They are not releasing the man's name.
