Five taken to hospital after crash on I-95 near Abingdon

Five people were taken to a hospital after a crash on I-95 near Emmorton Road in Harford County Thursday morning, the Maryland State Police reported.

The crash involved two vehicles headed north on the highway at 11:24 a.m., Detective Sgt. S. Ward of the State Police's JFK Barrack said Thursday afternoon.

He said the five people were taken by ambulance to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center and that area of the highway was closed for about 45 minutes.

At least three medic units had originally been requested for the crash, according to monitored fire and EMS radio transmissions.
