Editor:

For the last 29 years I have had the great honor to have been a board member and naturalist at Eden Mill Nature Center.

During that time I have the pure pleasure and joy to work with the hundreds of Eden Mill volunteers, met and exposed thousands of visitors, school children, and the supportive residents of Harford County to the joys of nature, and worked with numerous Parks and Recreation staff.

What we do at Eden Mill reminds me of a Greek Proverb: “Society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in.”

Every opportunity with Eden Mill has given me the chance to learn and grow. Thank you to everyone for the honor of allowing me to become part of your lives.
