The renovation of the HdG Opera House into a cultural center for the region has already begun.
Half of the funding is in place, but construction will be delayed for several years without the passing of this resolution. These delays will definitely increase the construction cost and postpone the re-opening of the theater.
The renovated facility will host many more performances than in the past and generate spin-off business for the downtown merchants and restaurants.
My son was in many productions at the theater. Now he's an actor in New York. Let's keep Havre de Grace moving forward.
