Aberdeen police investigating stabbing at Economy Inn

The Aberdeen Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred Thursday evening at the Economy Inn on Route 40.

A 53-year-old male suffered two stab wounds and was also kicked in the head several times, said Det. Sgt. Shannon Persuhn of the Aberdeen Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division. The man was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, she said.

Police are seeking two male suspects, Persuhn said.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:23 p.m. in the parking lot of the Economy Inn, located in the 600 block of South Philadelphia Boulevard.

Police did not immediately respond to follow-up questions seeking additional information about the stabbing.
