President Donald Trump carried Harford County with 60% of the vote, but with ballots still being counted in several battleground states, the winner of the presidential race is still in question.
Trump, a Republican, and Vice President Mike Pence received 69,468 total votes in Harford County — 45,623 were from early voting, 18,918 on Election Day, and 4,927 by mail.
His Democratic opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden and running mate Sen. Kamala Harris, took 37.5% of the vote in Harford. Early voters cast 22,216 ballots for Biden, and he received 6,701 votes on Election Day and 14,464 votes by mail for a total of 43,381 votes.
Acting Election Director Kimberley Slusar previously told the Aegis about 20,000 mail-in ballots had been counted as of Oct. 26, and the remainder would be canvassed after Election Day.
More than 45,700 ballots were received by mail in Harford, according to state data, leaving approximately 25,000 more ballots to be counted, along with any provisional ballots filled out during Election Day or the early voting period.
The next canvas is scheduled for Thursday.
In down ballot Congressional races, voters in both Districts 1 and 2 supported incumbents Republican Andy Harris and Democrat C.A. “Dutch” Ruppersberger, respectively.
Harris took 71.4% of the vote against opponent Mia Mason and Ruppersberger scored 55.9% of votes against Johnny Ray Salling.
