Harford sheriff’s deputy injured in crash in Joppatowne on Monday

A sheriff’s deputy was injured Monday evening in a car crash, the Harford County Sheriff’s Office said on Twitter.

Around 5:30 p.m., the deputy was driving on patrol on Route 7 in Joppatowne when he was struck by another car at the intersection of Route 7 and Joppa Road, the sheriff’s office said. He was taken to Shock Trauma for his injuries and released by 7:25 p.m. Monday.


Roads were closed Monday evening near Philadelphia Road and Joppa Road after the collision but were reopened by 9:26 p.m.
