Harford County has a slate of free activities in July to celebrate national Park and Recreation Month.
“Harford County has nearly 100 parks and activity centers spread throughout the county,” County Executive Barry Glassman said. “Parks and Recreation Month is a perfect opportunity to enjoy old favorites and discover something new.”
An activity is planned for each day in the month, such as family soccer at Forest Hill/Hickory Activity Center on July 12 and a youth pickleball clinic at Edgewood Recreation and Community Center on July 22. Some activities are always free, like disc golf at the Scarboro Hills course in Street; others are free on a specified day.
The county’s new rec mobile will bring fun and fitness programs to community centers, including at Aberdeen Activity Center on Friday, Mariner Point Park in Joppa on July 13, and Edgewood Recreation Community Center on July 20.
