Woman arrested in connection to Sunday stabbing that left two injured

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office has arrested and charged an Edgewood woman in connection to a Sunday stabbing in the community, the office reported Monday evening.

Kyla Briana Denise Royster, 23, has been charged with attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault and second-degree assault. She is being held without bond at the Harford County Detention Center.

Around 12:18 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to the 1700 block of Dearwood Court, where they found a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds to the upper body. Angelina Graziano was taken to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore to be treated for her injuries, police said. Her medical status was not immediately available.

A second person, Jamil Perry, was located a short time later with minor injuries. He was taken to the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air for treatment, according to police.

Investigators said Graziano was near the laundry room when she became involved in an altercation with another female. The altercation escalated to the stabbing, police said. Perry was injured trying to intervene, police said.

Detectives do not believe it was a random crime, according to a news release.
