Aberdeen police seeking information in Monday morning car theft

Aberdeen police are seeking information about a man accused of stealing a car from a gas station early Monday morning.

The man, who is seen in surveillance video wearing a bright yellow hooded jacket and carrying a green and gray hard hat with lettering, allegedly stole a gray 2004 Nissan Sentra from the parking lot of the Shell station in the 1000 block of Middelton Road around 6:30 a.m.

"The victim left their keys in the car at the Shell and the suspect allegedly jumped in and drove it away," Sgt. Shannon Persuhn of the Aberdeen Police Department said. "It was seen on the Hatem Bridge [on Route 40] after the theft."

The Sentra has a Maryland license plate 1EE4675.
