Anyone with information about a car fire in Aberdeen on Saturday is being encouraged to call the Office of the State Fire Marshal, as investigators try to determine the origin and cause of the fire.

At about 12:39 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, firefighters from the Aberdeen Volunteer Fire Company responded to the Osprey Apartment complex, where a 2012 Ford Flex SUV was on fire in a parking lot in the 1000 block of Warwick Drive.

It took firefighters about 5 minutes to get the fire under control, but not before it caused approximately $4,800 in damages to the vehicle, according to the fire marshal’s office.
