The Harford County Sheriff’s Office is reminding people to lock their doors — both their houses and their cars — after a series of burglaries and suspicious incidents in neighborhoods along Fountain Green Road in recent weeks.
“The biggest thing we tell people is to lock your stuff, the best deterrent to a criminal is a locked door,” said Kyle Andersen, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office.
Since Dec. 4, there have been two burglaries, an attempted burglary and three suspicious incidents reported in neighborhoods along Route 543 between Routes 1 and 22.
In one such incident, an individual’s face was capture on a home security camera Dec. 6 in the 1000 block of Saddleback Way attempting to enter a house, the sheriff’s office said. Police believe this individual is involved in the incidents.
“The burglaries reported were all unlocked doors,” he said. “In the suspicious incidents, including the ones where we see him on camera, they attempted to open a door and it was locked and they moved on.”
If anyone recognizes the individual or has additional information about these incidents, contact the sheriff’s office at 410-838-6600.
