Firefighters were responding to a blaze in a five-acre field in Fallston Sunday afternoon, local fire officials said.
Several companies were called to the blaze near Baltimore Gas and Electric power lines in the 2700 block of Reckord Road, near the intersection with Bel Air Road, officials said. Units were called just after 3 p.m.
The fire has extended into the Gunpowder Park along the Baltimore County line, officials said.
Reckord Road was closed between Bel Air and Whitt roads while firefighters responded from the Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Co., the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, the Whiteford Volunteer Fire Department and two Baltimore County companies.
No injuries have been reported.
