A 75-year-old man apparently drowned while crabbing on the Bohemia River in Cecil County on Monday, officials said.
Louis Durso of Earleville was crabbing in a small boat at about 7:30 p.m. when he apparently fell overboard and drowned, said Sgt. Brian Albert of the Natural Resources Police.
Crews with Cecil County Fire and Rescue found Durso's boat running and Durso's body in the water. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Albert said. Officials suspect that Durso drowned, Albert said.
Durso's body has been taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy. The Natural Resources Police are investigating the incident, Albert said.
