A woman was critically injured in a car accident along southbound Interstate-95 in the Joppa area, according to a report from the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

The incident occurred late Friday afternoon. Responders arrived at the scene at about 4:30 p.m. to find a vehicle in the woods off the shoulder with the driver, the only occupant, trapped inside. Firefighters worked with other crews to extricate the woman.

In addition to Joppa Magnolia, units at the scene included personnel from the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company, Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company and Baltimore County Fire Department.
