Surdi was arrested Friday night at her home without incident, police said. Vonnordeck was found a short distance from the residence after attempting to flee on foot. Vonnordeck and Surdi are being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bail.

Maryland State Police identified the victim as Thomas J. Pope, 18, of the 3500 block of Honeysuckle Lane in Middle River. His family had reported him missing to the Essex Precinct of the Baltimore County Police Department on Monday, State Police said.

Pope's body was found around noon Tuesday in a wooded area off a small service road on the east side of the highway, which is near the Bradshaw Road overpass and between the Route 43 White Marsh and Route 152 Fallston-Joppa exits, State Police said.

The autopsy determined the manner of death be a homicide.

Investigators said they believe the victim was familiar with the suspects and a motive for the murder has not yet been determined.

An initial version of this story indicated that the 200 block of Carroll Island Road was in Baltimore, based on information provided by State Police. It is in Middle River.
