Four intracounty lacrosse matchups will kick off the spring playoffs on Wednesday, while five teams received first-round byes to begin the postseason.
The Westminster boys lacrosse team received a bye in Class 4A-3A North Section 1, where it will host the winner of Sherwood-Springbrook on Friday.
In Class 2A-1A West Section 1, both the Liberty and South Carroll boys squads received first-round byes. Liberty will play the winner of Wednesday's matchup between Manchester Valley and Francis Scott Key, which will be at 6 p.m. in Manchester.
SC will play the winner of Century-North Carroll, which takes place Wednesday night at 5:30 in Eldersburg.
In Class 3A-2A South Section 1, the Winters Mill boys travel to Centennial on Wednesday night at 7.
On the girls side, Century and Manchester Valley both have first-round byes in Class 2A-1A West Section 1.
Manchester Valley will play the winner of Liberty-South Carroll, which is Wednesday night at 6 in Eldersburg.
Century will play the winner of North Carroll-Francis Scott Key, which is Wednesday night at 7 in Hampstead.
In Class 4A-3A North Section 1, Westminster will host Paint Branch on Wednesday night at 6:30.
In Class 3A-2A South Section 1, Winters Mill will travel to Reservoir on Wednesday night at 5:30.
