Westminster kicker Ian Gould is one of 44 high school senior football players named to the Under Armour Elite 100 as a finalist for Team Maryland in the 60th annual Big 33 Football Classic.

The game is set for May 29 at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and 34 players will be chosen for Team Maryland to square off against Team Pennsylvania.

Gould, a Times all-county selection this last season, finished his 2016 campaign with the Owls by kicking 31 of 32 extra point attempts and three field goals. His longest field goal was a 42-yarder in a 41-19 victory over South Hagerstown on Oct. 1.

Knights went 42-40 in eight seasons under Holzman, made 2A West playoffs this fall.

There are 127 players on the Elite 100, and they will each attend tryout combines on Feb. 12 and 26. The first is scheduled for the Baltimore Ravens' Under Armour Performance Center, and the second will take place at a different location because of construction at the Ravens' Owings Mills complex.

Gould, Gavin Locklear (Eastern Tech), Hayden August (Quince Orchard) and Mike Gillespie (Howard) are the four kickers selected to try out by the Big 33 Executive Board, which includes representatives from the Maryland Football Coaches Association, the Baltimore Touchdown Club and the Prince George's County Football Coaches Association.

One of the four will be chosen following the tryouts.
