Kassie O’Hern’s 15 points paced Liberty to a 51-47 victory over Winters Mill in Carroll County Athletic League girls basketball play Friday night in Eldersburg.
Rachel Thiem and Jordan Nastos added 10 points each for the Lions, who improved to 2-1 (1-0 CCAL). Natalie Berry led the Falcons (0-2, 0-1) with 13 points and Shelby Reppe scored nine.

Recap: At Uniontown, the Eagles ran their record to 4-0 and won their county opener behind Kennedy Cornick’s 14 points. Karla Stonesifer had 12 points, and Savannah Brooks scored 10. Sarah Deese led the Knights (1-4, 0-1) with 12 points, and Jess Diorio had nine.
Recap: At Fallston, the Cavaliers (2-1) won their second straight game thanks to 11 points apiece from Lilly Cooper and Bethany Fowler.

Recap: At Washington DC, the Falcons played a team from Ontario, Canada as part of the She Got Game Classic. Tyra Echevarria led Gerstell with 11 points and Emily Fenwick scored six.
Liberty 91, Winters Mill 65
Recap: At Westminster, Peyton Scheufele led the Lions (3-0, 1-0 CCAL) with 19 points while Tristan Kent scored 17 to go with seven rebounds. Cam Blankenship netted 14 points and Jack Merchak had six assists. Chandler Gentzel led the Falcons (0-3, 0-1) with a game-high 24 points.
Recap: At Manchester, the Owls (2-1, 1-0 CCAL) held on for their second straight win and Drue Giles led them with 19 points. Joe Wright added 15 for Westminster. Dayne Koontz scored 16 and Brett DeWees added 15 for the Mavs, who trailed by as many as 19 and cut the deficit to four but couldn’t get closer.
Recap: At Finksburg, the Falcons got 20 points from Jeremian Stanton and 18 from Anthony Carpenter, who added eight assists, six rebounds, and five steals. Gerstell is 5-4, 1-0 in the MIAA B Conference.
