The Bauerlein Duals are relocating to the place where it all began.

The annual wrestling event is set to begin Friday at 3:30 p.m., with eight teams in action on four mats over two days. The duals started in 2010 at North Carroll High School, and this winter they’re making a return trip to the school’s gymnasium.

Francis Scott Key and host Manchester Valley are the Carroll participants (Silver Oak Academy, located in Middleburg near the county line, is also competing). Frederick County brings Catoctin and Urbana, Howard County has Glenelg, and Baltimore County has Hereford. Loyola, a private school from Baltimore, is in the field.

The first of Friday’s four rounds starts at 3:30, and each one is schedule to last about 75 minutes. if a mat becomes available, however, and both teams are ready to compete again, that match could start sooner.

FSK and Man Valley meet up in Round 3 on Friday at 6:30. Silver Oak gets the Mavericks in Round 2 and wrestles the Eagles on Saturday in Round 5, which is slated to start at 10 a.m.

The duals has seven rounds in all, with three mats in the main gym and a fourth in North Carroll’s auxiliary gym upstairs from the main level.
