Carroll Varsity Roundup: Westminster boys hoops nets first win of the season

Drue Giles scored 20 points and Christian Etchison added 16 in helping Westminster’s boys basketball team get past visiting North Hagerstown 76-57 on Wednesday.

Giles had a pair of 3-pointers in the victory, and Joe Wright netted 15 points for Westminster (1-1).

Recap: At Ijamsville, the Cavaliers (2-2) took down Walkersville 69-6 but fell to host Urbana 48-31. Ryan Athey, Anthony Bond, Cam Werner, Steven Dahl, Antonio Bradford, and Pat Quinn all went 2-0 for SC.

FSK goes 0-2 at tri-meet

Recap: At Frostburg, the Eagles (0-3) lost to host Mountain Ridge 60-21 and Williamsport 73-3. Nathan Perry went 2-0 for the Eagles, and Zach Kinloch went 1-1.
