Carroll Varsity Roundup: Century field hockey knocks off Westminster

Erin Ko and Grace Bruce each scored goals for Century’s field hockey team, which clipped Westminster 2-1 in Carroll County Athletic League action Friday in Westminster.

Claire Hollinger made four saves for the Knights, who improved to 8-2 (3-1 in the county).

Kirby Henneman had a goal for the Owls (10-3, 5-2).

JV result: Century, 5-0.

Recap: At Owings Mills, Alex Grasso scored on an assist from Ryan Rolfes and the Knights improved to 7-2. Brian Wallace had six saves.

Recap: At Manchester, the Eagles (4-7, 4-6 county) held on for a 25-17, 25-16, 20-25, 23-25, 15-10 victory. Savannah Brooks had 22 digs and 12 kills for the Eagles, and Jocelyn Snader added 26 digs, and Olivia Zepp handed out 28 assists. The Mavs are 2-9, 1-8.
