Carroll Varsity Roundup: Owls volleyball tops Century

Westminster swept Century in three sets Monday in Carroll County Athletic League volleyball action for its fourth consecutive victory.

The Owls won 25-19, 25-12, 25-18 behind eight aces from Kasey Thomas, Sabina Rinda, and Laken Neff.

Jilienne Widener, Zoe Costley, and Tatum Keck combined for 32 kills for Westminster (8-1, 7-1 in the county). Century falls to 6-3, 5-3.

JV result: Century, 2-0.

South Carroll 5, Long Reach 3

Recap: At Columbia, Nick Simoncini netted three goals and had an assist for the Cavs (5-4). Carter Chesney and Aidan Moffatt had a goal and an assist apiece.

Hammond 2, Liberty 0

Recap: At Columbia, Anjan Singh made five saves for the Lions (3-5-2).
