Spencer Monroe belted a two-run home run to left field with two outs in the eighth inning that propelled Winters Mill’s baseball team past host Francis Scott key 8-6 in Carroll County Athletic League baseball action Monday in Uniontown.

Monroe and TJ Riesett had two RBIs apiece for the Falcons, who improved to 3-8 (2-5 CCAL). Alex Barnes went 2-for-3 with three runs scored. Lonnie McClain smacked a triple for the Eagles (2-8, 0-8) while Drew Hyman and and Reese Sauter had two hits each.

Westminster 15, Pallotti 1

Recap: At Laurel, the Owls (8-5) got healthy on the road behind two doubles, a homer, and four RBIs from Haden Hoff. Jonah Culbertson, Ryan Clatterbuck, and Jake Sell had three RBIs apiece.

Recap: At Edgewater on Saturday, the Owls (6-4) fell short in the South River tourney title game despite four goals from Hannah Dintino and three from Chloe Sedlar. Dintino added two assists.
