Manchester Valley scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning to get past Winters Mill 7-4 in Carroll County Athletic League baseball action Tuesday in Westminster.

Tyler Rada had three hits for the Mavericks (7-3, 4-2 CCAL), who rallied to win their fourth consecutive game. Matt Myers had a double and two RBIs.

Spencer Monroe had three RBIs and Alex Barnes posted two hits for the Falcons (1-7, 1-4) who led 4-3 going into the seventh inning.

Francis Scott Key 5, Hammond 1

Recap: At Uniontown, Kyle Williams and Ryan Bennett had two hits each for the Eagles (1-6), who won their first game of the year.

Howard 12, Century 2

Recap: At Ellicott City, Hunter Rose had a double and two hits for the Knights (8-4) in a matchup of two reigning state champions. Howard won the 4A state title last spring; Century is the reigning 2A state champs. Jared Lamb went 2-for-3 with a triple for the Knights.

Boys’ Latin 19, Gerstell 3

Recap: At Baltimore, the Falcons fell to 5-4 (5-4 MIAA B Conference) with a road loss.

Francis Scott Key 8, North Harford 3

Recap: At Uniontown, Emily Clapsaddle smacked a home run for the Eagles (3-5). Kaesey Green, Morgan May, and Laura Gilford each had RBIs in the fourth inning.

Century 13, Maryvale Prep 3

Recap: At Eldersburg, Lexi Vintz had a double and a home run for the Knights (5-6).

Boys Tennis

Westminster 5, South Carroll 0

Recap: At Winfield, Aaron Sorkin and Kyle Fronheiser won singles matches for the Owls (3-6, 3-6 CCAL). SC is 1-10, 0-8.
