Carroll Varsity Roundup (April 11): Century clips Westminster in Carroll County Athletic League girls lacrosse action

Grace Bruce had a team-high four goals and Century netted two in the final minutes to get past county rival Westminster 9-7 in Carroll County Athletic League girls lacrosse action Thursday night in Eldersburg.

Madison Plitt scored with about 6 minutes to play to break a 7-7 tie, And Demma Hall added an insurance marker with 2:45 remaining for the Knights (8-1, 3-0 CCAL).

Chloe Sedlar had four goals for the Owls (4-3, 3-1) and Hannah Dintino scored twice. Katie Pettine had two assists for Westminster, which led 5-4 at halftime.

South Carroll 15, Liberty 5

Recap: At Winfield, Paige Abbott and Riley Evans had four goals apiece and the Cavaliers improved to 7-0 (2-0 CCAL). Shannon Finch had two goals and Julia Weiss made seven saves. Alanna Wray had two goals and one assist for the Lions (5-2, 1-2).

Recap: At Manchester, the Mavericks rolled and improved to 5-3, 4-3 CCAL. The Owls are 2-5, 2-5.

Girls Tennis
