Carroll Varsity Roundup: Mavs boys second at Fraser Relays track meet

Francis Scott Key, Manchester Valley, and Winters Mill were Carroll’s track and field representation at the annual Fraser Valley Relays at Middletown on Wednesday.

Middletown’s boys won the meet with 88 points and the Mavericks were second with 83. The Mavs won the 4x100-, 4x200-, and 4x400-meter relays.

Winters Mill took third with 64 points and Francis Scott Key finished fourth (57).

On the girls side, Francis Scott Key placed third with 55 points behind Urbana (92) and Middletown (73). Man Valley’s girls were fourth (40), and Winters Mill finished seventh (20).

The Mavs took second in the 4x100. Complete meet results were unavailable.

Boys Lacrosse

Liberty 11, Aberdeen 4

Recap: At Cedar Lane Park in Bel Air, the Lions got give goals and two assists from Noah Rorher in the win. Nolan Karfonta and Hunter Rask had two goals apiece.

JV result: Liberty, 20-0 (Connor Stewart 3 goals).

C. Milton Wright 6, Winters Mill 5 3OT

Recap: At Bel Air, Reid Stewart had three goals and Kaden Ross posted a goal and two assists for the Falcons, who lost a heartbreaker.

JV result: CMW, 6-4.

Girls Lacrosse

Patterson Mill 20, Liberty 9

Recap: At Bel Air, the Lions fell to 0-2. No information was reported.

JV result: Liberty, 10-5.
