Carroll Christian’s girls basketball team is bound for the Maryland Christian Schools Tournament with one postseason championship already secure.
The Patriots won their second straight Maryland Association of Christian Schools Athletic Conference title by defeating Rosedale Baptist 59-49 on Saturday in Baltimore.
Sydney Wooden finished with 21 points and four steals en route to taking MACSAC tourney MVP honors. Camille Echegoyen had 15 points, nine rebounds, and five steals for the Patriots (20-1). Bethany Delph added 11 rebounds and 10 points, while Mikaela Martin had nine points and eight boards.
Echegoyen and Martin received all-tournament honors. Wooden and Echegoyen also earned first-team all-MACSAC recognition.
Delph and Martin earned all-MACSAC second-team status.
Carroll Christian is in Division 1 for the MCST tournament, which begins Tuesday. The Patriots face Mount Airy Christian at 4 p.m. Mount Airy beat Carroll 44-28 back in December.

Amelia Saunders scored 17 points and added seven rebounds and three assists. Kassidy Johnson contributed 13 points and Tessa Boswell added eight for the Mavericks (8-13, 2-10).

Recap: At Glenelg, Jake Diehl paced the Knights with 27 points. Matt Huber notched 16 points and 11 rebounds while Carter Truby scored 12 points and added eight boards and five assists for the Knights (19-3).
