Westminster went 2-0 thanks to tri-meet victories over North Hagerstown and Oakdale on Wednesday in Ijamsville.

The Owls (9-15) beat the Hubs 40-36 and took care of the host Bears 48-22. Jack Conrad, Marley Warfield, Nate Seibel, Ben Carlow, and Austin Arnsmeyer each went 2-0 for Westminster, which hosts Dulaney on Thursday.

Liberty 60, Frederick 18

Recap: At Eldersburg, Noah Wienclawski earned his 100th career win and the Lions improved to 19-6. Matt Slowikowski, Ryan Ohler, Jacob Slicher, Sammy Nehme, and Braden Puller join Wienclawski with pins.

Linganore 42, South Carroll 36

Recap: At Winfield, the Cavaliers fell to 11-7 despite wins from Ryan Athey, Anthony Bond, Ben Markulik, Cam Werner, Tyler Haribson, Steven Dahl, and Pat Quinn.

Boys Basketball

Liberty 76, Bel Air 55

Recap: At Bel Air, Tristan Kent and Jack Merchak paced the Lions (12-0) with 15 points apiece. Kent added 10 rebounds, and Merchak grabbed six assists and five steals. Peyton Scheufele had eight rebounds, and Cam Blankenship scored 13 points.

JV result: Liberty, 59-45 (Jayden Adams 25 points)

Franklin 77, Manchester Valley 64

Recap: At Manchester on Tuesday, Dahon Saunders had 18 points for the Mavericks (3-9).

JV result: Franklin, 65-41.
