Liberty’s girls basketball team defeated rival Century 41-37 on Thursday night in Carroll County Athletic League girls basketball action.
The Lions improved to 3-8, 2-2 in the CCAL, and snapped a seven-game losing streak. They won for the first time since Dec. 14. Meanwhile, the Knights (2-9, 0-6) dropped their fourth in a row despite leading 22-17 at halftime.

Recap: At Uniontown, the Eagles snapped a 10-game losing streak in thrilling fashion — freshman Ryan Rill sank a pair of free throws with 0.3 seconds remaining. Noah Vipond led FSK (2-10) with 30 points and 11 rebounds. Rill finished with 12 points and eight boards. Key won for the first time since Dec. 6, its season opener.
Liberty 63, Brunswick 37
Recap: At Eldersburg, Jack Merchak totaled 11 points, four assists, and three steals for the unbeaten Lions (10-0). Tristan Kent and Peyton Scheufele scored 17 apiece, and Kent added 14 rebounds.
JV result: Liberty, 58-49 (L-Justin Sheetz 24).
Urbana 64, Winters Mill 34
