Carroll County once again has representation in the annual Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Game this summer.
Gerstell Academy's Jillian Wilson and Manchester Valley's Tayler Warehime were selected in the third wave of girls players selected for the game.
The event, now in its 13th year, is being played at Johns Hopkins University's historic Homewood Field on June 30. The girls game is slated for 5:30 p.m., followed by the boys game at 8 p.m. A fourth wave will be released at the end of May, and the players will be divided into North and South teams following the announcement of that final wave.
Warehime, a three-time Times first-team all-county choice, has been dynamic in the midfield for the Mavericks all season. She leads the team with 78 points (59 goals, 19 assists) and surpassed 200 goals for her career in the Mavs' victory over Fallston on April 26.
The North Carolina commit now has 213 goals for her career, which moves her to eighth all-time in Carroll County girls lacrosse history.
Wilson, a Times first team all-countian in 2017, is bound for Loyola this fall. The Falcons midfielder leads the team with 43 goals and 14 assists to account for 57 points this season. Last spring she totaled 111 points with 78 goals and 33 assists, and added 117 draw controls and 97 groundballs.
