The Hampstead Ravens 13U football team took the field at M&T Bank Stadium on Oct. 26 prior to the “Thursday Night Football” game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Miami Dolphins.
The team was met by Pro Football Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk and former Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith Sr., and were "coached up" to run a Dolphins play. Steve played the role of Jarvis Landry and lined up in the slot. The play was meant to show how Miami was going to clear out space to get Landry open for yards after the catch.
The boys ran it through a few times to practice it, then went live to tape — and did it in one take. It aired on the NFL Network pregame show.
The Hampstead Ravens head coach is Kevin Miller.
The Reisterstown 5/6 field hockey team won the 2015 Maryland Youth Field Hockey League's Halloween Havoc Field Hockey Championship in Howard County October 25, 2015. Reisterstown had to defend 4 Penalty Corners during a depressing 1st half where the ball remained on Reisterstown's defensive end the entire time. After half-time, Reisterstown came back, scored a goal, and changed everyone's expectations. Tired, seemingly out-matched, and with nothing left but heart, Reisterstown beat a very skillful and talented Cockeysville team 2-0 to win the championship.
