Carroll Viper Volleyball Club's 15-under team, Venom, has continued a successful season by placing second in Gold at the Marauder Clash 15u Tournament held March 30 at Millersville University in Millersville, Pa.

Captains Elise Smith and Casey Reno lead Venom to victory. During this single day event, Venom went undefeated during pool play, and collectively earned a total of 54 aces, 93 digs, and 115 kills.

Medals earned by local athletes

Some Special Olympics athletes from Carroll County recently participated in the Winter Games at Whitetail Ski Resort, in Mercersburg, Pa.

Each athlete won two gold and three silver medals in the Snowshoe Competition. These events were the 100m, 200m, 400m, 4x100m, and 4x200m relays.
