Haverford scored 11 straight points to break a 63-all deadlock and top McDaniel 78-71 in Centennial Conference men's basketball action Saturday at Gill Center.
Josh McWilliams led the Green Terror (5-18, 2-14 Centennial) with 26 points, pacing three players in double figures.
Jesse Turkson led the Fords (7-16, 3-13) with 21 points and 13 rebounds while Joe Scibelli added 16 points and 13 rebounds. Jonathan Lang chipped in 17 points while Joe Hartman had 14.
After eight straight points, including five from McWilliams, erased a 61-53 deficit with 6:17 to play, Scibelli hit a jumper to put the visitors back in front.
Two Austin Cannon free throws tied the game with 4:29 showing before a Scibelli floater and back-to-back Hartman triples pushed the lead back out to eight nearly two minutes later.
A Jesse Turkson three-point play capped the run and seal the win with 1:42 to play.
Behind four Andy Kwiatkowski 3-pointers, the Green Terror jumped out to a 14-7 lead in the game's first 5:19.
Haverford responded with nine straight points to take a 16-14 lead.
A Jared Houck 3-pointer reestablished a 24-20 lead with 8:22 showing for the hosts before the Fords put together a 16-2 run over the next 6 minutes, 26 seconds.
Five points from McWilliams to close the half made it a 38-33 game at the break.
After McWilliams cut the deficit to three on the opening possession of the second half, Lang converted a four-point play to stretch the lead back to seven before leading by as many as 10.
Kwiatkowski finished with 18 points while Houck chipped in 10.
