The Carroll County Sheriff's Office has arrested three men in connection with a Sunday morning burglary at New Windsor Liquors.
Two of the three men have also been connected to at least six commercial burglaries in the county over the last three months, including the June 6 burglary at the Westminster KFC, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.
According to police, Sheriff's deputies arrested 20-year-old Westminster resident Bryan Keith Miller Jr. and two 17-year-old men from Westminster Sunday. The three were charged with second and fourth degree burglary, theft, malicious destruction of property, and conspiracy.
Police said Miller was transported to the Carroll County Detention Center where he was released on $15,000 bail following a hearing before the District Court Commissioner. Both juveniles were turned over to the custody of their parents pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services.
According to police, Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to New Windsor Liquors in the 400 block of High Street Sunday for neighbor reports of breaking glass.
Arriving deputies found the front glass door to the store smashed and, after further investigation, found the cash register and several bottles of liquor had been removed. Deputies recovered the cash register in an adjacent alley and, with the assistance of a police canine team from the Hampstead Police Department, tracked the suspects to the New Windsor 7-11 where they were taken into custody without incident, according to the news release.
Through a joint investigation with the Westminster Police Department and Maryland State Police, two of the three became suspects in several other burglaries being investigated throughout the county. Additional charges by the Westminster and Maryland State police will be forthcoming, according to the Sheriff's Office.
