Westminster cafe offers free coffee to government employees affected by shutdown

If you're a government employee who now has some time off of work due to the federal government shutdown and you're craving a cup of coffee, then Birdie's Cafe in Westminster may be the place for you.

Birdie's Cafe, at 233 East Main Street, is offering any government employee affected by the shutdown a free cup of coffee for as long as the shutdown lasts, according to owner Sherri Joseph.
