A 26-year-old Westminster man was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center Monday night after an accident on Route 140 near the Baltimore County line between his motorcycle and a pickup truck, according to a Maryland State Police news release.
According to police, Joshua Paul Devine was flown to Shock Trauma in "serious condition with multiple injuries."
Troopers from the Westminster barrack responded to an accident near the Baltimore County line at 5:26 p.m., according to the release.
Upon their arrival, troopers found that a 2006 Honda motorcycle operated by Devine was involved in a two-vehicle accident with a 1991 Ford pickup, driven by 55-year-old Michael Henderson Brown of Westminster, police said.
Police said both vehicles were traveling south on Route 140 when Devine lost control of his motorcycle traveling into the lane of the pickup, where he was hit by the truck and thrown from his motorcycle.
