The Lineboro fire company will host its first Breakfast with Santa at the firehouse, at 4224 E. Main St., Lineboro, from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19.
There is no fixed admission price. The fire company will collect donations for charity at the event and each person's donation will pay their admission. At the end of the event, all of the donations collected will be presented to a charitable cause, said Pat Alexander, event co-chair.
Breakfast will include pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast, danishes, coffee and juice.
Santa Claus will be there and children can have their picture taken with him for free.
Crafts, games and face painting are all included in your admission donation. One game planned for the morning is the Reindeer Pokey, a version of the hokey pokey as a Christmas tune.
Alexander said breakfast guests can tour the firehouse. Firefighters will also be on hand to talk with the kids.
There is no age limit for the event.
"Even if you don't have kids, come on out and enjoy the food," Alexander said.

Winter choral concert
Manchester Valley High School will present its winter choral concert in the auditorium at the school, at 3300 Maple Grove Road in Manchester, at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21. The concert is free and open to the public.
The concert choir, Women's Festival Chorus and vocal ensemble will all perform, choral director Lauren Warner wrote in an email.
Musical selections by all three groups will cover a wide range of genres and styles, with some holiday music included. The vocal ensemble's program includes pieces in Spanish and Russian.
The Manchester Valley Performing Arts Boosters will be selling raffle tickets for a Christmas wreath at the concert. The decorated wreath is being made by a parent. Tickets can be purchased in the auditorium lobby before the concert. The winner's name will be drawn and the winner can take the wreath home that night. Proceeds will benefit the boosters to help support costs of choral activities.
The school's agriculture department will be selling live poinsettias at the concert. Bridget Hoffman, agriculture teacher, is coordinating the sale with help from members of the school's Future Farmers of America chapter. Standard poinsettias sell for $6 and will be available in red or white. Double poinsettias in rose pink are also available and sell for $9. Proceeds support the agricultural education program.

Viewing of 'Wild Kratts'
The North Carroll branch of the Carroll County Public Library will present "Wild Kratts: Creature Christmas," a PBS show for children, at the branch, at 2255 Hanover Pike, in Hampstead, at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21. The event is suitable for children ages 2 through 10.
The educational show featuring Kratt brothers Martin and Chris is part-cartoon animation, part-documentary about animals from Christmas stories and traditions. After the video, kids can go on a scavenger hunt in the library to search for characters or items related to the show.
The presentation is part of a program promoting learning and literacy produced by PBS affiliate WQED in Pittsburgh, in partnership with Quality Digital Media Partnership, LittleeLit.com, and CCPL.
Dorothy Stoltz, CCPL's programming and outreach services manager, said the WQED program is part of a larger effort "to support families as they transition to technology use with children." She said the program assists parents in selecting literacy apps for children that are age-appropriate, fun, and encourage adult-child interaction when using iPads, tablets and other devices.
Registration is optional but not required.
The Wild Kratts series airs on local PBS affiliate MPT. For more information or to register, call the library at 410-386-4488.
