Family Storytime: Sounds: 1 p.m. For all ages. Share books, stories, rhymes, musicand movement in a format appropriate for young children. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Medicare 101: 5 p.m. For adults. Are you eligible for Medicare in the coming months? Do you already have Medicare and want to learn more? Join the library for a free one-hour workshop that will include the four parts of Medicare and how they work, Medicare Supplement — Medigap — plans, qualification requirements for Medicare Savings Programs — all Savings Programs are not low-income programs — free preventive services offered by Medicare, and how to protect yourself from healthcare fraud. Presented by Tina Herrero-Backe, State Health Insurance Assistance Program/SMP — formerly Senior Medicare Patrol Project — coordinator.

All Creatures Great and Small: 7 p.m. For ages 12-adults. Misfits Animal Sanctuary is a group of animal professionals who pomote animal welfare through actively helping animals in need, educating people about animals, and supporting or promoting abandoned animals of all sizes, whether they are strays or their owners simply cannot take care of them anymore. If you love animals, come to hear how you can help animals in need.

Play Baby Play: 10 a.m. For ages birth-3, with accompanying caregiver. You're invited to a morning playgroup just for little ones. Come enjoy a warm and inviting space where you and your child can play with toys, read a board book, enjoy music and socialize with others.

Part of the Quality Digital Media Partnership series with WQED-PBS, LittleeLit.com and Carroll County Public Library. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Saturday

PAWS to Read: 2 p.m. For ages 5-17. Come to the library and read a story to a book-loving dog. Research shows that children enjoy improving their reading skills by practicing the art of reading to animals. Registration preferred, but walk-ins welcome. Only kids need to register.

Summer Reading Kick-Off Party: 10 a.m. For all ages. Help kick off Summer Reading by joining the library's kick-off party featuring fun activities, face painting, a special visitor and more. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Summer Sidewalk Spectacular: 10 a.m. For all ages. Add your own creative touch to the Finksburg branch. Come to the library on Mondays this summer to give its walkways some fun flair. Program is weather-permitting. Guidelines and chalk available at the Information Desk. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
