Twos and Threes Together: Horses: 10 a.m. For ages 2-3, with accompanying caregiver. This lively, fast-paced storytime for young children includes books, songs, fingerplays and movement.

Read and Play: 11 a.m. For ages birth-24 months, with accompanying caregiver. Join your little one at a storytime featuring interactive books, rhymes, music and movement followed by playgroup activities which allow children to practice skills and socialize.

Westminster Book Discussion Group: Deadline by Sandra Brown: 6:30 p.m. For adults. Join the library for a discussion of each month's featured title.

Family Storytime: Horses: 1 p.m. For all ages. Share books, stories, rhymes, music and movement in a format appropriate for young children. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Needle Nuts: 6 p.m. For adults. Knitters and crocheters are all welcome to join this monthly gathering to share tips, projects and patterns.

Prediabetes: Are You Too Sweet?: 7 p.m. For adults. It's estimated that one in three American adults have prediabetes and if left untreated, up to 30 percent of them will go on to have diabetes in the next five years. Join a local diabetes educator for an informal discussion on what you should know and what you can do to treat and potentially reverse this condition. The presentation will focus on concrete strategies and explore how diet recommendations differ for diabetes and prediabetes.

Friday

Creative Playtime: 10 a.m. For ages 3-8. Play is a fantastic way for children to develop their critical thinking skills. During this open play time, children can be imaginative and creative while exploring blocks, LEGO blocks, playdough and more. Children age 3 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Saturday

Local Everyday Heroes: Bicycle Safety Talk and Inspection: 11 a.m. For all ages. A trained police officer from the Westminster City Police Department will teach safe cycling practices and review bicycle laws, including recent helmet regulations. An officer can examine your bicycle and give input to help keep you safe on the road. Individuals are asked to bring their bicycles to the program. Depending on weather, the program will take place outside in the park. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

The Not So Tiny Home: 1 p.m. For all ages. The tiny home is sweeping the country as a topic of conversation. For most people, the tiny home movement can be inspiration to downsize but for others, not so much. A typical tiny home is about 200 square feet, the equivalent of one room and a loft. Join Dr. Polly Bart, owner of Greenbuilders, Inc. and named Best Contractor for Baltimore in 2011 and 2013, as she discusses the possibilities for building a tiny home that isn't quite so tiny. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Yoga with Syeda: 6:30 p.m. For adults. Register for this event. Set an hour aside for yourself. Join Syeda Kahn for a free, invigorating yoga session in a soothing atmosphere. Register to assure a place. Drop-ins on a first come basis.

Friday

Songs, Stories, and Seniors: 10:30 a.m. For ages 2-adults. Stop by for a fun program filled with bell ringing, stories and a craft with the Senior Inclusion Program. The Senior Inclusion Program is a group of senior citizens with developmental disabilities who participate in a retirement program at Westminster Senior and Community Center. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Saturday

Lambs in the Library: 11 a.m. For all ages. Come to a special sheep storytime and meet some lambs from Chicory Lane Farm. Don't forget your cameras. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. All attendees need to register.

Summer Sidewalk Spectacular: 10 a.m. For all ages. Add your own creative touch to the Finksburg branch. Stop by on Mondays this summer to give library walkways some fun flair.
