Year-Round Family Storytime: Wild West: 1 p.m. For all ages. This weekly storytime introduces stories through books, songs and activities. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Friday

Baby & Kids' Yoga: 10 a.m. For ages birth to 5. Babies and small children are natural yogis and yoginis. With children as young as four weeks old, caregivers can work with their little ones to practice developmentally appropriate yoga poses. Moves stimulate the brain, encourage proper alignment, help with digestion and sleep patterns, teach calming breath work, encourage early critical thinking skills and foster the love of physical fitness at a young age. All children should attend with an adult caregiver and dress ready to stretch and move. Only kids need to register.

Saturday

Kindermusik: 11 a.m. For ages birth to 7. Play, learn, sing, dance, create and share in the fun of making music together in this unique opportunity for children and an adult caregiver to interact and learn together in an unhurried and joyful manner. The class encourages your child to uncover an engaging musical world while building confidence, self-control and communications skills. Singing, imitating sounds, rhyming and object identification foster language skills, while creative movement to various musical moods develops a sense of balance, timing and spatial awareness. All children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. Only kids need to register.

Read and Play: 9:30 a.m. For ages birth to 24 months, with an accompanying caregiver. Join your little one at a storytime featuring interactive books, rhymes, music and movement, followed by playgroup activities which allow children to practice skills and socialize.

Ready Set School: Chicks & Chickens: 10:30 a.m. For ages 3 to 6. An independent storytime that prepares children for school. Fun, hands-on activities will teach listening, pre-reading, math, movement, music and art skills. All adult caregivers are welcome.

Teen Advisory Board: 3:30 p.m. For ages 12 to 17. The library is seeking interested teens to gain leadership experience by planning library programs as part of the Teen Advisory Board. Meetings start with snacks at 3:30, and officially get started at 3:45. Service hours are also offered. Refreshments will be served..

Tuesday

Twos and Threes Together: Chicks & Chickens: 10 a.m. For ages 2 to 3 with an accompanying caregiver. This lively, fast-paced storytime for young children includes books, songs, fingerplays and movement.

Hugs & Stitches Crochet & Knit for Charity: 5:30 p.m. For ages 12 to adults. Hugs & Stitches Crochet & Knit for Charity is a group of knitters and crocheters who meet each week to create scarves, hats, mittens and afghans, all of which are donated to local charities. They can always use more hands to help meet the growing need for these items. Anyone interested in helping must be at least a beginner crocheter or knitter. Although the group usually meets each week at Westminster Ridge, they will meet at the Westminster branch this week.

Pajama Party Storytime: Chicks & Chickens: 7 p.m. For all ages. Wear your pajamas, bring your favorite stuffed animal and listen to stories before bed. This storytime introduces stories through books, songs and activities. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Finksburg Library Branch

Evening Storytime: Art: 6:30 p.m. For all ages. This storytime introduces stories through books, songs and activities. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Facial Exercise: Recover the Vitality of Your Younger Face: 6:30 p.m. For adults. Register for this event. This is a small, introductory workshop to help participants master some techniques of facial exercise to improve the muscle tone, fullness and skin condition of their faces. The workshop consists of three sessions: learning, follow-up and assessment; register once for all three sessions.

Rainbow Book Club: Chulito by Charles Rice-Gonzalez: 7 p.m. For adults. You are invited to join the Rainbow Book Club as participants discuss and explore a variety of LGBTQ related titles, stories and topics in a safe and respectful environment. This program is open to adults of any sexual orientation or gender identity. The Rainbow Book Club is presented by PFLAG Westminster-Carroll County and hosted by Carroll County Public Library. The Faith Club: Jerusalem: 7 p.m. For adults. If you are interested in reading about faith and having an interfaith dialog, the library invites you to join the discussion at the Faith Club, where a broad spectrum of beliefs will be explored in an informative and respectful atmosphere. This spring the group will be continuing its series focusing on the six-segments of the PBS documentary Sacred Journeys with Bruce Feiler, which covers the most spectacular pilgrimages in the world. A discussion will follow each segment. The program is presented by Carroll County Interfaith Council and hosted by Carroll County Public Library.
