Story Pals: Winter: 10 a.m. For ages 2 to 3, with adult caregiver. A theme-based storytime featuring interactive and age-appropriate stories, songs, fingerplays and activities.
Read and Play: 11 a.m. For ages birth to 24 months, with adult caregiver. A storytime featuring lap games, tickles, bounces and rhymes followed by a playgroup for meeting and mingling.
Launching Your New Business: 5:30 p.m. For adults. Ready, set and go. This is a program designed to assist individuals in launching their own business with confidence. Topics include: options for business entities, resources available to start-ups, costs of services needed, licensing and tax considerations, loans and financial resources, marketing on a budget, getting your business off the ground and finding customers. During the program, patricipants can enjoy a warm and inviting space where playing with toys, reading a board book, enjoying music and socializing with others. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by adult caregiver.
Saturday
Be My Valentine: 11 a.m. For ages birth to 10. Join the library for crafts, stories and games on this special day celebrating love. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by adult caregiver.

Yoga with Syeda: 6 p.m. For adults. Register for this event. Set an hour aside for yourself. Join Syeda Kahn for a free, invigorating yoga session in a soothing atmosphere. Register to assure a place. Drop-ins on a first come basis.
Facial Exercise: Recover the Vitality of Your Younger Face: 6:30 p.m. For adults. Register for this event. This is a small, introductory workshop to help you master some techniques of facial exercise to improve the muscle tone, fullness and skin condition in your face. The workshop consists of three sessions: learning, follow-up and assessment. Register once for all three sessions. Have fun, make friends and emerge in two months with a new, revitalized look.

PBS World Premiere & Scavenger Hunt: 10:30 a.m. For ages 2 to 10. Be the first to see the world premiere episode of Sesame Street's Cookie Monster Special. Then search the Finksburg Branch Library to find new hidden PBS friends. Everyone who participates will get a special PBS Digital Scavenger Hunt card for February to explore PBSkids.org. Part of the Quality Digital Media Partnership series with WQED-PBS, LittleeLit.com and Carroll County Public Library. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by adult caregiver.
Think Your Drink: 2 p.m. For ages 8 to 12. Register for this event. Explore the world of what you drink, from how milk is unique to how much sugar is in some of your favorite sports drinks and sodas.
Saturday
PAWS to Read: 2 p.m. For ages 5 to 17. Come to the library and read a story to a book-loving dog. Research shows that children enjoy improving their reading skills by practicing reading to animals. Registration preferred, but walk-ins welcome. Only kids need to register.
