Year-Round Family Story Time: Make Believe: 1 p.m. For all ages. This weekly story time, open to all ages, introduces stories through books, songs and activities. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

The Log Cabin Caner: 7 p.m. For ages 12 to adults. Caner Rick Barrick is fond of antique treasures, especially chairs. Seven years ago, he learned how to revive and save the life of chairs in need of caning by taking a traditional arts class at the Carroll County Farm Museum. Barrick is proud to say he has personally re-caned close to 800 chairs since then. Watch Barrick as he weaves natural materials together to create a surface that is sturdy and surprisingly strong.

The Mitten Puppet Show: 7 p.m. For ages 3 to adults. Did you ever lose your woolly warm mitten in the woods? A mitten makes a perfect sleeping bag for an owl, a mouse, a hedgehog and more. Come enjoy this lively fairy tale to count how many critters can fit into the mitten. Puppet shows are fun and build your child's school readiness skills like empathy, imagination and active listening. Children age 3 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Participants will combine engineering, creating and tinkering to not only make something cool, but to learn something new as well. Only kids need to register.

Evening Story Time: Art: 7 p.m. For all ages. This story time, open to all ages, introduces stories through books, songs and activities. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

PBS World Premiere & PBS Book Finder Story Time: 10:30 a.m. For ages 2 to adults. Be the first to see the world premiere episode of the PBS show Odd Squad. Then stay for a story time using books found on PBS' Book Finder service. Learn how you can use Book Finder as a great parenting tool. Part of the Quality Digital Media Partnership series with WQED-PBS, LittleeLit.com, and Carroll County Public Library. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Watershed Science: What is a Watershed?: 2 p.m. For ages 8 to 12. Register for this event. Join us as we learn about water flow, pollution in the Chesapeake Bay, and being water smart in this three week series from the University of Maryland Extension. Come to one or all. Only kids need to register.
