Calling all children who enjoy great stories and beautiful nature walks Join CCPL staff as they partner with Piney Run Nature Center staff for special morning activities filled with stories, hikes, crafts and more. Service Learning Hours: KidWorks: 5:30 p.m. For ages 12-17. KidWorks meets twice a month. At the 1st meeting they spend an hour planning a story time for younger kids. At the second meeting (11/20) they present the story time. You must come to both meetings to earn 3 service learning hours.

Code It @ the Library: Scratch: 2 p.m. For ages 9-15. Register for this event today. Explore Scratch, a popular programming language designed by the MIT Media Lab. By simply dragging together colored blocks of code, you can learn computer programming concepts and make fun games and animations. Create a playable game using step by step instructions or design your own Multiple projects will be offered. Bring a USB flash drive if you want to save your finished project to take home.
